Ian Griffiths, better known as Griff Griffiths, is the drivetime host of The Griff Griffiths Show on the dynamic Rock Radio UK. Much like an amusement park ride, Griff keeps audiences and guests on the edge of their seats with a mix of high energy, suspense, and thrilling moments.
Griff first met The Alarm back in 1983 when he travelled to Newcastle to see them perform live on The Tube alongside Mark Taylor, his band’s keyboard player, who had just joined The Alarm. The rest, as they say, is Rock ’n’ Roll history. More recently, Griff has had the honour of compèring on The Alarm’s highly successful UK tour.
The following members and guests connected with The Alarm have featured on The Griff Griffiths Show: Eddie McDonald, Ian Wilson, James Stevenson, Smiley Barnard, and Billy Liberator.
Griff’s latest record release, Won, Won, Won!, celebrates England’s hoped-for success at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The track features The Alarm guitarist James Stevenson, along with keyboard contributions from Dave Blackman.
